The Blue Chinchilla and Yara-ma-yha-who

Artist description:
This artwork unfolds a fantasy dialogue between "civilized guardianship" and "primitive instinct" on the contemporary canvas of a skateboard deck. The upper section is inspired by the artist's beloved "Blue Chinchilla," reimagined as a majestic guardian beast with meticulously detailed, silky fur and hollow, glowing eyes. Crowning its head is a flowing spiritual fire of blues and golds, while its sharp claws secure a mysterious golden door—symbolizing a noble and gentle protectress of the inner world.
In striking contrast, the base features the legendary "Yara-ma-yha-who," a crimson creature from ancient Australian Indigenous mythology, emerging with its iconic wide-open mouth.
Shifting from the serene depths of the Blue Chinchilla to the wild cry of the Yara-ma-yha-who, the piece weaves personal pet totem with ancient local lore, exploring the symbiotic balance between reason and raw energy within the human psyche
