Artist description: Loved to death explores the idea that love and the memory of love can endure beyond life itself. The skeletal figure’s simple act of offering a flower speaks to the persistence of affection, even in the face of mortality. I hand cut and paint each piece individually before arranging and finishing in a high gloss epoxy resin, the work uses depth and shadow to reinforce its themes of remembrance, tenderness, and what remains after we are gone.
